14 days - Message for Yi Yi(s)

"Dear Yi Yi,

Today, I am 14days old. I have been consuming alot of milk to grow healthy and to become strong boy.
Last night, I drank my milk milk so fast until I vomit.
Today, I did it again. My vomit came out just like "fountain", pouring out from my mouth. I felt tired after that.
Mama and Dadda was so worried. Mama carried me and rocked me to sleep today.
Gerald will try to drink milk slowly and not to make mama worries.
Yi Yi, please tell baby cousin not to drink me so fast like me okay. And please make him burp properly otherwise he may vomit like me too.

My cord came off on 20th. I have blood stain on my baju and bed. But it was ok. I cried a little only.

See my nose, just like dadda. Mama told me that grandpa used to pinch her nose to make it "high". I want that too....














Today, I am 14 days. Yahoo..... and my sleeping pattern is inconsistent.

Refreshed

Finally, I get to bathe and wash my hair after 12 days!!
I missed taking shower!!!!!!

Belly Button

Gerald's cord just dried and dropped off an hour ago. Poor baby, his shirt had blood stain. He cried so loud when we clean it. Poor baby.

It is all about HIM

My life now evolves around Gerald. It is always about him, thinking about him, talking about him.
I am unsure if I can do without the confinement lady.
Can I calm him when he cries?
Can I understand what he wants whenever he cries?
I am nervous but definitely up for the challenge, when I have recover till I am able to sit properly.
My wound needs time to recover and up till today, I am still unable to sit up straight, it hurts.

My 2nd attempt in expressing breast milk (both breast). Quite good production eh ; )



















And this is what happened when HIS poo poo ability is too powerful.
He was lifted up on the potty for him to poo but instead, he poo as if he is pee-ing. Can someone break his record?














He is 5-day old and look how much he had grown/changed.

Remembering

It has been 8 days since the birth of Gerald, the little tiger.
It still seem like a dream to me, like it just happened yesterday and I cherish every moment of the whole process, from the contraction, to the complaining and kicking at nurses, to the moment I hear Gerald crying and holding him in my arm, breast feeding him.
He has grown so fast without me realising.

Nose Blocked

3 days old

We celebrate on 12 March 2010, 3.59AM, 3.49KG, 7.7lbs

Gerald is finally in my arms, safe and sound. After 5 hours of labour.
Contraction felt at around 10.30PM after our weekly check up the same morning. We thought he will definitely come later.
Tun was online and was tracking my contractions. It was once every 10 min +-. And at around 11.10pm, the pain was excrutiating, I changed earlier when the pain was gone to get ready, and after that we rush to hospital.
Waited about 30min for my epidural to come, but it came late and only was effective on my right. I can still feel the bloody pain on my left and was screaming, crying and begging for some relieve. So embarrassing.
Started pushing around 3pm. Just like "o si", you have the urge to push, and it was PAINFUL~~
The pain was still bearable but I really ran out of breath.
Doc came to do episiotomy around 3.30am, Tun was beside me the whole time encouriging and supporting. He even dare to look down dare, I really salute him and appreciate him.
Well, along the way I was inhaling the Gas to relieve pain on the left but it didnt work (it makes me drowsy after the whole birth process, a bit on ecstacy during recovery). I kicked one of the nurse : P to stop her from opening my vagina, because she was really hard on it the first time and I wasn't expecting that. I kept apologising to her and everyone.
I was kinda nasty in attitude that time (probably to my standard).

Week 41

Ai ai....
Week 41 and still no sign of him.
Experience some mild contraction. Am currently 61.8kg (lost 0.4kg over 1 week).
Asked doc's opinion whether baby is healthy enough to wait till 18/3/10 (last day due).
We did CTG to check baby's heart beat, he is healthy, and there's still plenty of fluid in his swimming pool.
Doc was wondering what happen to me, how come I didn't show up for the past 2 days, after Monday.
Only dilated to 2.5cm. WTH, only 0.5cm over 2days.
So the waiting continues......

Disappointed

We came home.
Was dilated 2cm in the morning, still 2cm in the evening at 6pm.
Tun was so bored and tired, poor thing, and I was bored too, and I missed my bed, so we decided to come home and wait.
The bill costs us RM400++. Hell!!!!
Anyway, for baby, it's ok.
Doc said he expect me to deliver tomorrow, fingers crossed!!!

Is it time?

Been talking to baby "Gambateh neh.... Mummy can't wait to see you. You have to move downwards in order to come out." But no sign of him engaging, belly is still pretty round and "high".
Well, walk more, was the advise from everybody. Saw, we went for a 2-hour walk, haha, in One Utama Shopping Mall.
Got home, was feeling ok till night time where my right leg seem to be very weak. Spoke to Tzen, asking her how was it when she had Kei Kei. She told me her experience, fresh bleeding initially but then was advised to wait at home, for a week before she actually feel the contractions coming.
Baby was quite active, talked to him, trying to lure him out with all kinda perks : ) and threats "If you don't come out daddie will dismantle your bed, or the bed will be eated by termite" etc, funny...
Woke up at 6am, cant sleep, after awaken by neighbour, not sure who was she fighthing with, shouting away : (
Lepak-lepak and feel like passing motion, while doing that and read at the same time, felt something come out from the V, peeped, it's fresh blood.
Doc's provided some tips on symptoms:-
# Pain every 10 - 15min (baby movements active, min 10 times the whole morning)
# Fresh bleeding (red)
# Water bag burst, but no pain
Alll the above, please check in to hospital for check up.

So = I am going to the hospital, after my bath.
Wish us luck. Hope to deliver good news (my right leg still weak)....

The "It" Drink

Well, were told to start consuming young coconut juice from 7 months onwards.
It is claimed that the juice can help to "reduce our body temperature and flush toxin" so that when the baby comes out, he/she will have smooth skin, no red patches or spots like acne.
So, start early. But not "over-dose" neh.

Due - Overdue

Today is the "due date" but no sign from him.
He is not ready to come out yet.
Went for my check up, everything normal. We shall wait till the 18th, which is the last day for him to come out.
Doc did check my cervix, only 0.5cm.
Got home, when I was laying down on my bed, a gush of water came out, damn, BLOOD!!!
Ran to the toilet and was on the toilet bowl for about 10min, then suddenly I can feel something came out fro the V, shit, some clot...scary, just like period. Well, no big deal, doc already warned that there will be bleeding. Only need to check in if the bleeding do not stop.
Hell, the test was painful, but bearable.
Getting mild contractions every now and then. Hope baby is healthy.
Wait~~ goes on.














Found the piglet in boxes. Washed, dried and waiting for baby.

It's Ready

Well, we figured maybe baby didn't want to come out early because his room is not ready.
So, we have decided to put everything up.

First and foremost, the famous sign from Baby's grandpa. I always tell him baby is grandpa's 1st grandchild, he will be watching from heaven and make sure baby "poi su" (English, and Maths).















Brand new eventhough we got it months ago.

New Addition

New addition to our existing big family.
Tun will have to give up some space for this new fella.
We named him "Wong Dai" as there is a "Wong = King" on his forehead.
This year is Tiger Year, he came together with the Hamper Tun received from his supplier.
We have decided he is too cute to be left in the cupboard. Hence, we adopted him and intro to the rest. He can't speak our language, can only make some funny sound : )

Week 39

Routine check up.
No signs of baby engaging yet. But we were told last week that it may go pass due date as baby was in the "back to back" position with head down.
Baby must come out latest by 18 March 2010 (week 41). Doc gave us date to choose to induce if baby is not out by 4th. Hmm, make me nervous.
Gained 1.7kg over a week, not good, all thanks to CNY party. Control!!

Well, gift from a friend of Tun, Avent bottles.
Will get them cleaned and ready.

Farewell Dinner

The farewell dinner (22/2/2010) the Guess Accessories Staff organised for me @ DShire Cafe, Kota Damansara.
Great turn-out. Didn't expect so many of them.
They wanted me to give a speech, and I did.
I think in the end, it ended up as "lecture" then speech, cause it was a 46min speech haha. A bit long winded but thats the last opprtunity for me to give them a piece of my mind.
It's not about the food or environment, even though it was not bad, it was more about the last chance for me to really tell them how I felt and hope they remembered what I said and will really excel well in their work. Sad to leave but it was also a relieve.

Garfield

Introducing, baby's friend - Garfield.
Usually it is difficult to differentiate these cats but Garfield, when you see him, you won't miss.
His face shape is so unique (see pic) and he always have the grumpy, "what are you looking at" look.
We love to see him. He wanders around our area, like a "tai ko".

Reunion Dinner cum Bday Dinner for Tai Sou

Bought a pair of Guess Earring for Tai Sou's Birthday.
Today is her birthday and coincidently is Nin Sam Sap where we will be having our reunion dinner.
Bro in Law booked a place at Jaya Palace and we had dinner together. All good.
She wore the earring the next day when she came to Pai Nin at our house. Glad that she likes it.

Week 37

Routine check up.
Baby's head is 91mm.
Estimated weight around 3kg.
I lost 0.3kg in a week.
Looking at gaining some during the CNY : (
Tiger's current position is head down, face up.
I love to feel his movement : )
Can't wait to see him.
Doc said baby at this position will most likely go pass the due date, slightly.
Fingers crossed!!

He is already a "ko ko" even before he is born. Yay!!

It was like 11pm already.
Will be seeing him again tomorrow. Perhaps he is just getting ready : )
