1st Birthday Spent with Gerald Boy

My birthday? No big deal.
Spent at Daniel & Vanessa's place. Their princess Kei Kei's birthday, same day as mine ; )
Tun, Gerald and I went out for dinner together the day before. Very casual dinner at Tropicana Mall, at Bad Ass Cafe (from Hawaii). This is the first time we are out for dinner together, the 3 of us. Why always Tropicana Mall? Cause it's not crowded like other malls.
Tun went cycling at Cameron. So basically I spent my birthday like any other day with Gerald Boy.
Happy 30th Birthday. Wow!! 30 d.

And thats the gift, the first gift, I received from Steph and Jacky ; ) so thoughtful.

12 Weeks Check Up

Went to PJ' The Children's Clinic for check up.
Gerald boy has been very difficult these few days.
He would cried his heart out for unknown reason. We were at relatives house where he really cried so hard that we have to leave early.
So, today we asked the doc, he said it's normal that baby cries. He must be hungry, diaper wet, feeling hot or feeling uncomfortable in any way. Well, we assume that he doesn't like to be around so many people. But he was ok when we brought him to a neighbour-hood mall, Tropicana Mall. It wasn't that crowded but there were quite a number of people. He is 6.59kg. Doc said he is very healthy. Gerald boy played with the doc, so cute.
Then in the afternoon after lunch, we brought him to a temple in Semenyih, to see "Zai Gong", apparently he's very good. Long time ago when Tun and I just got married, we went to 1 zai gong in Klang, he said I was weak and a bit difficult to get pregnant. Till today I do not know whether to believe or not, but I think I chose to believe him. He said so many things that were so thrue about me. But there were a few things that I have doubt but Mom In Law said he may be hinting on other people who was with us. So, anyway, he gave me a "fu", burn it and drink it. I did. And after 5 months, I got pregant. The plant, which I pour the burnt "Fu" water to, had all its leaves dropped and didn't really grow back or blossom during my whole pregnancy. Well, it's up to you whether you believe or not, I think it has something to do with that.
Back to our visit to zai gong today, he asked where we brought him these few days (in a way that he knew the answer but wanted us to say it). He said it was because there were too many people and the loud noises frightened him. Well, in a way it could be true. We were at bro in law's house yesterday, not very noisy, but he cried again.
He gave us some "fu" again, and stamp Gerald's shirt to be put beside him when he sleeps for 3 days, and wear it after that.
Believe or not? I would like to try to help my precious. As long as it is not anything that will harm him. Thats what mothers will do. Anything for their precious kids.

Saw baby Jonathan's picture on FB. Very cute. His eyes are not swollen like Gerald boy's when he was newborn.

1st Time : Car Seat

We had to go to a relative's house. Hooked up the car seat in my little MYVI.
This is his first time. He was curious. He didn't cry until the car stopped at traffic light. He wouldn't cry as long as the car is moving.

Great But Praying

Received great news this morning. Got an sms from Bro In Law that Baby Jonathan has arrived safely at 12.01 18/6/10 weighing 7lbs 2oz and height is 18". So happy till I can't go back to sleep, check the message around 3am.
However, heard from CJ that sis bleed alot and has to stay in ICU for a day to monitor her condition.
I pray, we pray for her recovery.

Besides Gerald boy, I find myself constantly thinking about how to improve my Lollipop business.
I am always too forward thinking, having so many ideas and plans and wished to implement them asap without giving much research. If I drag it for too long, the "fire" eventually dies off.
Hmm! I know my problem, but never seem to be able to overcome that.

3 Months Old Gerald

12 June 2010 : He is 3 months old.
We went to a neighbourhood mall yesterday with Gerald boy. This is the first time we all went to a mall as a family. He was curious but cried after a while. Hmm....
We went over to bro in law's house for dinner after that. Gerald boy seems to like Yean Yean ko ko very much. SMiling at him. Sis in law played with Gerald boy too, bring him sat on a toy car and race around. Can tell he had fun.

My Day

Let me run you through my day:

5 / 6 / 7 / 8AM : (Lucky if it's 8AM) Baby's 1st feed of the day. Usually he will go back to sleep.
8 AM : check email on my online shop
8.30AM : continue my sleep if nothing urgent
9.30 / 10.30 AM : Gerald's next feed. He doesn't go back to sleep after this. Will be playing with him, wash bottles, do our laundry, boil water, make him em em~~, then lastly continue working online
12.30PM : Gerald Boy's bath time. Play with him.
2 PM : Gerald Boy's lunch time. I can only eat after him. Sometime I skipped lunch after I am done with him, I will continue my work online. Gerald boy takes nap.
4 PM : prepare ingredients for tonight's dinner. My shower.
5PM : Gerald boy ready to eat. He may nap.
6PM : If permitted, bring Gerald Boy to playground. He naps.
7PM : My dinner
8PM : Gerald's dinner. He plays with daddie after that. I will continue my online business. If nothing urgent, we will all spend time together.
10.30PM : Gerald's supper. Last feed. He is usually very playful at night. We don't play with him much at night. My shower.
11.30PM - 12.30AM : Gerald boy rests. WIll sleep through the night. I chat with Tun for awhile. Then we all zzzzzzzzz...........away.

Today, I hope I can make it to a gathering with Steph and Tzen. May bring Gerald Boy.

WTF

It's 5PM. I was taking my bath. Just only then I realised I have not brush my teeth and washed my face after I got up in the morning.
It had happened a few times but this time is the worst, only realise that at 5PM in the afternoon. My goodness!!!!
I was busy with the baby, housework and my online stores till I totally forgot to take care of myself.

Too desperate to please the Wong Dai

Story Telling 1

Everytime he sees the camera, he would stare at it and will not make noise or talk. So, I have to hide behind the story books.
The father is running out of story, hence he came out with his own version of Jack and The Beanstalk.

Wong Dai

We call him "Wong Dai" = King, because when he cries, this little tiger's forehead will have the "Wong" sign.
So we seated him on the bed with the bolster behind to support his back, just like a Wong Dai. Being the naughty active Tiger Cub, he moved so much that he slowly slide to the side.
He struggles to get up but failed. The mummie had to rescue him.

Frighten

Thunder and lighting. Raining cats and dogs here in the late afternoon.
The sudden "cry" of the thunder frightened Gerald Boy each time it strikes. Poor Gerald grabbed hold of his Ye Ye's clothes when he was crying so loud due to the thunder.

So desperate

He woke up at 5AM and making "engine noise" (kek kek kek~~~ his usual sound of catching ur attention) wanting to have milk. I fed him with a little bit of water hoping he would fall asleep again and only feed him milk 2 hours later, but the water isn't enough. He is HUNGRY!!!!!!!
SO I made milk for him, and before I could put the teats into his mouth, his hands came grabing the bottle, pushing it into his mouth~~ Tun and I saw that and we were shocked. He must be very hungry ; ) But it happened once only.

Kai Kai lu

Gerald boy has been sleeping, eating, shitting ~~~ in the house. He hardly step out of the house.
Since he is already 8 weeks old, we thought of bring him out for a walk around our housing area. This is the second time he went out for a walk around the area, as previously he couldn't open his eye due the to sunlight, even though it is already 6pm in the evening :"(

Our 1st time using the carrier. We could have adjust the sitting higher.

Wasn't sure he felt asleep because it was too comfy or too bored ; (

















After we got home, he shower and relax on his rocking chair with his most loved pacifier. He tried to hold it himself. Clever boy ; )

8 weeks lur~~~

Time really flies.
Gerald boy is already 8 weeks old and he has grown so much.
He looks like he understands what we say when we talk to him.
He cries when he needs something or uncomfortable, but sometimes I will still lose my patience because I do not know what he wants. This is definitely a test for me.
"Gerald boy, mama loves you. Mama say sorry to you for not being able to understand your needs. We try to be patience with each other, teach and learn together k." muaks muaks~~
Decided to teach him call papa and mama, instead of daddie & mummie, tot that would be easier

Gerald boy loves to suck him fingers, especially his "lower thumb" and index finger, sometimes he is so greedy that he attempted to put his fist into his mouth and sometimes even worse when he tried to put both fist. Of course never succeed, his mouth is not that big lar.

It's May d~~

I can't believe it, seriously. It is May already. May 2010. I just got promoted as Mom and will be promoted to "Level 30"!!! I can't believe it.
I used to teased Sun about aging and now, I am getting a piece of that. Guess nobody can run from that, even though we always tell ourselves it's just a number.
Savour each and everyday like there's no tomorrow.
Live with no regrets!!

So,
1) will be more patient
2) treat Tun better, not that I treat him bad, just better in a more loving way ; )
3) really put effort in promoting the blogshop. Find ways to expand.
4) more equip with child care knowledge

Bed Time

It is bed time, and the daddie suppose to read him bed time story after feed, but he chose to give Gerald Chee Alphabet Lesson pulak.
We bought him the bouncing net 2days ago, to put him to sleep at night.
He was enjoying it. At least I do not have to carry him all the time and get tired and hurt my wrist.

My Follow Up Check Up

Today is the 6th Week routine check-up.
Did the pap smear check (results to be known next week), ultra-sound check on recovery of the uterus.
Stitching of the "wound" has fully recovered = can resume sexual intercourse ; )
Doc advise = next baby should be 6 months later, wait till the first period come. I didn't really understand, and had never really understand what he said, Tun was always the one asking and summarising for me, he was at home taking care of Gerald today, hence I went to hospital alone.
Well, I have already got my calendar marked when to start producing again, so no worries ~
Am 53.5kg. Before pregnant = 49kg

How's Work?

It has been tough for the past 2 weeks, managing household chores and taking care of newborn all by myself. Luckily I have Tun to help out at night and Grandpa to help out occasionally during noon time so that I can catch some sleep.

It requires more than physical strength to get through each day, you need a lot of patience, Gerald constantly wants attention and can hardly be left alone for more than 15 min. He needs someone to talk to him and play with him. Recently, he is having difficulty sleeping, waking up after 10min each time he fell asleep. Pity him but really unsure what to do. I can only try to calm him, sing him lullaby so that he will not have bad dream.

Also, I feel bad each time he spit some milk out, like tau fu fa. I am trying to find a solution to reduce the spitting but apparently there aren't any. I have done all I could, burping and feed him warm water, it minimise but can never solve this problem. I feel bad whenever he cries due to discomfort. Help!!!

18 Apr 10 Gerald's Full Moon Luncheon

Initially we didn't want to have any party but on 2nd tot, pity Gerald, it's like no one is celebrating for him, for his arrival.
Hence, Dim Sum Lunch @ Jaya Palace, where his daddie and mummie had their wed dinner, on 18/4/10.
Food = over killed, so many left over to ta bao.
