First Time Fever

Gerald boy has been down with fever of 38.4 since yesterday.
Doc said to monitor for 7 days before bringing him to clinicm, unless:
# >40 degree, give him warm bath and slowly change to cold water to lower temp
# <40 degree, continue giving paracetamol syrup of 2ml every 6 hours after feed
# not feeding or feeling very uncomfortable

I suspect he may have caught the virus when we dropped by our neighbour's house who happened to down with fever too. We were there for like 5 min and were about 2 feet away from him. Or perhaps is the shopping mall and other outings. Who knows.

So, be careful next time. It is no fun when your precious is sick.
Pray he will recover soon.

My first handmade project

My first handmade project is a success!! Will be selling it on TLH.
It took about 2 hours to complete from designing and measuring and cutting and sewing.
Will look into more varieties soon.

Outing - Tappers Cafe, Bangsar South

Another outing.
Meeting with an ex-colleague of mine, named Jun Yin (sounds like Jhun Yean : ) )
Her baby is 1 month younger than Gerald boy.
Very cute and mature looking baby.
We met up at a new place in Bangsar South called The Square, at a cafe called Tappers Cafe.
Very nice environment and nice food too.
Shall bring Tun here the next time.

I'm Loving Him

Gerald boy has grown so much, so fast.
Quiting my job to care for me is the right choice.
I love him so much. I love my husband so much.
He has been a truly wonderful person that I have never regret marrying so far.
He is not perfect, and neither am I. Nobody is.
I love my family.
I love my sisters and my dear bro in law and dear baby J.

u know there r few ways to burp a baby
1) sit on your lap and pat or rub his back
2) put him on your shoulder, chest on your shoulder, do not put pressure on his belly, and pat or rub his back
3) have him sit on your lap, one hand hold his chest the other hold his back, slowly rock him back and forth (i usually use this as a second choice if no.1 doesnt work. I dont rock him, but i lay him down on the bed, either play with him or change diaper if needed, then put him sit up then wala, burrrrrppppppp loud loud ; )
4) hold him under his arm pit or let his sit on your palm, slowly raise him up (towards ceiling). I think this is a bit extreme la. SO i never try this

Oh No NO but Good Good Good

So, I have started my tile pendants project.
Still trying to perfect it. There're still bubbles in the image. Wonder whether it is possible to remove it 100%.















I just told my friend that if I stop buying materials, I could possibly recover my investment faster.
Well, speaking of that, I truly truly angry on myself but truly truly happy also.
I was at Daiso suppose to only get what I wanted but I saw these button making tools in packs. These are the one I have been scouting for on Etsy, they cost around USD 5 (include shipping) each set but Daiso is selling them at RM 5 per set. Heck!! Of course I have to get it. Was contemplating whether to just purchase 1 or 2 but WTH, just grab them all. It's such a bargain!!!!!
I was thinking perhaps I should just buy all of them and sell them on Etsy and make some small quick bucks hahahaha. Should I ?
I bought felt too, trying my hand to make some small accessories like pouches. WIll post up my work once done.

The Lollipop House

I am so happy today.
Finally, I received my craft kits ordered from Sun and Moon on Etsy. The parcel finally arrived today from USA after 2 weeks of waiting. Luckily it was not held at KLIA custom that I have to go and collect.
I shall start work tomorrow, or perhaps immediately.

1st Birthday Spent with Gerald Boy

19th June 2010
My birthday? No big deal.
Spent at Daniel & Vanessa's place. Their princess Kei Kei's birthday, same day as mine ; )
Tun, Gerald and I went out for dinner together the day before. Very casual dinner at Tropicana Mall, at Bad Ass Cafe (from Hawaii). This is the first time we are out for dinner together, the 3 of us. Why always Tropicana Mall? Cause it's not crowded like other malls.
Tun went cycling at Cameron. So basically I spent my birthday like any other day with Gerald Boy.
Happy 30th Birthday. Wow!! 30 d.

And thats the gift, the first gift, I received from Steph and Jacky ; ) so thoughtful.

12 Weeks Check Up

Went to PJ' The Children's Clinic for check up.
Gerald boy has been very difficult these few days.
He would cried his heart out for unknown reason. We were at relatives house where he really cried so hard that we have to leave early.
So, today we asked the doc, he said it's normal that baby cries. He must be hungry, diaper wet, feeling hot or feeling uncomfortable in any way. Well, we assume that he doesn't like to be around so many people. But he was ok when we brought him to a neighbour-hood mall, Tropicana Mall. It wasn't that crowded but there were quite a number of people. He is 6.59kg. Doc said he is very healthy. Gerald boy played with the doc, so cute.
Then in the afternoon after lunch, we brought him to a temple in Semenyih, to see "Zai Gong", apparently he's very good. Long time ago when Tun and I just got married, we went to 1 zai gong in Klang, he said I was weak and a bit difficult to get pregnant. Till today I do not know whether to believe or not, but I think I chose to believe him. He said so many things that were so thrue about me. But there were a few things that I have doubt but Mom In Law said he may be hinting on other people who was with us. So, anyway, he gave me a "fu", burn it and drink it. I did. And after 5 months, I got pregant. The plant, which I pour the burnt "Fu" water to, had all its leaves dropped and didn't really grow back or blossom during my whole pregnancy. Well, it's up to you whether you believe or not, I think it has something to do with that.
Back to our visit to zai gong today, he asked where we brought him these few days (in a way that he knew the answer but wanted us to say it). He said it was because there were too many people and the loud noises frightened him. Well, in a way it could be true. We were at bro in law's house yesterday, not very noisy, but he cried again.
He gave us some "fu" again, and stamp Gerald's shirt to be put beside him when he sleeps for 3 days, and wear it after that.
Believe or not? I would like to try to help my precious. As long as it is not anything that will harm him. Thats what mothers will do. Anything for their precious kids.

Receive good news from CJ. Everything is ok with sis. I know she will be alright.
Saw baby Jonathan's picture on FB. Very cute. His eyes are not swollen like Gerald boy's when he was newborn.
The pic of his just born look like chek. The other pic taken with sis really looks like sis, especially his nose. Another cutie pie ; )

1st Time : Car Seat

We had to go to a relative's house. Hooked up the car seat in my little MYVI.
This is his first time. He was curious. He didn't cry until the car stopped at traffic light. He wouldn't cry as long as the car is moving.

Great But Praying

Received great news this morning. Got an sms from Bro In Law that Baby Jonathan has arrived safely at 12.01 18/6/10 weighing 7lbs 2oz and height is 18". So happy till I can't go back to sleep, check the message around 3am.
However, heard from CJ that sis bleed alot and has to stay in ICU for a day to monitor her condition.
I pray, we pray for her recovery.

Besides Gerald boy, I find myself constantly thinking about how to improve my Lollipop business.
I am always too forward thinking, having so many ideas and plans and wished to implement them asap without giving much research. If I drag it for too long, the "fire" eventually dies off.
Hmm! I know my problem, but never seem to be able to overcome that.

3 Months Old Gerald

12 June 2010 : He is 3 months old.
We went to a neighbourhood mall yesterday with Gerald boy. This is the first time we all went to a mall as a family. He was curious but cried after a while. Hmm....
We went over to bro in law's house for dinner after that. Gerald boy seems to like Yean Yean ko ko very much. SMiling at him. Sis in law played with Gerald boy too, bring him sat on a toy car and race around. Can tell he had fun.

My Day

Let me run you through my day:

5 / 6 / 7 / 8AM : (Lucky if it's 8AM) Baby's 1st feed of the day. Usually he will go back to sleep.
8 AM : check email on my online shop
8.30AM : continue my sleep if nothing urgent
9.30 / 10.30 AM : Gerald's next feed. He doesn't go back to sleep after this. Will be playing with him, wash bottles, do our laundry, boil water, make him em em~~, then lastly continue working online
12.30PM : Gerald Boy's bath time. Play with him.
2 PM : Gerald Boy's lunch time. I can only eat after him. Sometime I skipped lunch after I am done with him, I will continue my work online. Gerald boy takes nap.
4 PM : prepare ingredients for tonight's dinner. My shower.
5PM : Gerald boy ready to eat. He may nap.
6PM : If permitted, bring Gerald Boy to playground. He naps.
7PM : My dinner
8PM : Gerald's dinner. He plays with daddie after that. I will continue my online business. If nothing urgent, we will all spend time together.
10.30PM : Gerald's supper. Last feed. He is usually very playful at night. We don't play with him much at night. My shower.
11.30PM - 12.30AM : Gerald boy rests. WIll sleep through the night. I chat with Tun for awhile. Then we all zzzzzzzzz...........away.

Today, I hope I can make it to a gathering with Steph and Tzen. May bring Gerald Boy.

WTF

It's 5PM. I was taking my bath. Just only then I realised I have not brush my teeth and washed my face after I got up in the morning.
It had happened a few times but this time is the worst, only realise that at 5PM in the afternoon. My goodness!!!!
I was busy with the baby, housework and my online stores till I totally forgot to take care of myself.
